Here at Lane Cove Orthodontics we are passionate about technology and improving comfort and treatment time for our patients. Some of the latest orthodontic technologies we use in the clinic include AcceleDent and the Intraoral camera.

Acceledant and Propel VPro5 - Speeding up your treatment

AcceleDent Aura is an innovative tool which can significantly reduce treatment time. This easy to use hand-held device works using SoftPulse Technology® which sends gentle micropulses into the bones of your teeth beneath the gums to accelerate the remodelling of the bone. 

The AcceleDent appliance fits over the top of your orthodontic appliance and is only required for 20 minutes a day. It is also FDA approved which means it’s completely safe and has been established in the dental industry since 2009.

VPro5 is an innovative orthodontic device that uses high-frequency vibrations to complement your clear aligner therapy.  Used for only 5 minutes per day, the VPro5 vibrates gently to help ensure that aligners are fully engaged with secure seating.

Intraoral camera

The Intraoral camera is a small tool that allows us to check the hard-to-reach parts of your mouth for a thorough examination. It enables us to show you exactly what your issues are in real time. As the Intraoral camera captures video footage you can watch as your orthodontist assesses your mouth. If there is overcrowding or problems near the back of the mouth these will be pinpointed with ease as the camera is no larger than a dental mirror.
